CO FOUNDER

PAUL CLARKE

Lost Island Race Director and Co-Founder, Wes Crutcher developed his first multi-stage race way back in 2011, going on to design and direct many more.  Working on races in Deserts, Jungles, Mountains and across Arctic tundra, his love for adventure and the wild, as well as sharing his passion for ultra stage races would shine through.  Those that have attempted one of his races will testify to how tough and demanding they are, but also how stunning the settings, handpicked to simultaneously amaze and despair.  This is Wes’ 5th and final multi-stage race design.

Paul Clarke – Lost Island Co-Founder. Paul and Wes have now worked together for over 15 years, longer than some marriages! Paul helped Wes way back in 2011, when trying to get Beyond The Ultimate off the ground and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise on the inner workings of an ultra footrace. You are in safe hands.

RACE CO-ORDINATORS

RACE DIRECTOR

MIMI ANDERSON

Mimi Anderson has joined the Get Lost team and will now Direct the Lost Island Ultra in Fiji! For those of you who do not know Mimi, allow us to list out just a few of her many ultra running achievements. Mimi completed the Double Badwater, Double Comrades, the Spartathlon and the Double Grand Union! There are many more achievements (World Records, an awesome Trans USA attempt, we could go on!), far too many to list them all out here. Suffice to say, Mimi knows and understands ultra distance running and adventure running like few others in the world. Jonny works within the healthcare industry, initially as a Paramedic, then gaining a Bsc Hons in critical care and PGD, going on to be a Physicians Assistant Anaesthesia where he continues to practice. Jonny met Wes met back in 2013 whilst providing medical services on one of his races. Wes says “I could see immediately Jonny was not your usual medic, you could see his knowledge of endurance sports underpinning the care he was providing for our runners. He’s both knowledgeable and sympathetic to what endurance athletes wish to put their bodies through”.

Wes and Mimi met back in 2012 on Wes’ first ever race through the jungles of Peru.  All of us at Get Lost events are so excited to see them now working together to make the Lost Island Fiji the most awe inspiring ultra race on earth.  Welcome to the team Mimi!

Jonny is a keen ultra runner, triathlete and open water swimmer himself.  He cites his greatest sporting achievement, as finishing the 6633 350 mile Arctic Ultra in Canada in 2015, but has plans to push himself even further in 2018 & 2019 at the Deadwater Ultra, The Celtman Tri and swimming the English channel.  Along with the rest of the team, you are in safe hands.
